This weekend myself, hubby Fleur and Rocco were invited to watch Finding Dory at a celebrity charity gala screening held at the Vue Cinema in Westfield. So we were up bright and early on Sunday morning with a very excited Fleur as she has been going on about wanting to watch this film for weeks now. It's the first time I've been to the Vue in Westfield, wow its spacious and also feels quite bizarre being in the centre when its quiet.
We were fully prepared that Rocco may only last 5 minutes if we were lucky so Haydn had a bottle of milk and the pram at the ready in case he had to make a sharp exit. I really don't think its fair for the other kids to have to sit through hours of screaming so I will only attempt to take the little man if I know my hubby can come. As always the event organisers had put on a great pre gala party in the foyer, with fruit, pastries, face painting and cartoon characters.
Prior to the film was the sweetest shortfall, Fleur and Rocco were both engrossed then he nodded if for a minute and unfortunately woke after about 5 minutes, loved the start then Haydn managed to stay for about 40 minutes. I think thats pretty good going for a 15mth old. So Fleur and I were left to watch this wondrous tale of a poor little fish that had terrible memory problems but because of that had no fear. Dory realised he had lost something in his life and when he started having flashbacks realised it was his mum and dad who were so precious to him. He met some incredible and interesting friends along the way and shared some very special moments with the other sea creatures, Fleurs favourite being the octopus. But eventually through sheer determination he found his family and made lifelong friends along the way. What a beautiful and sweet film, I'm sure Fleur will be telling her friends all about it today.
