London Zoo Day Out

It's nearly the end of the school holidays and even though it's been tough for me as a mum and freelancer as the hols always are, I will be sad to see my little ones going back to school next week. So with the end of the school holidays near, myself and my lovely friend TV presenter and mummy Laura Hamilton, we decided to head to London Zoo for a fun filled catchup.

I must say we were both pretty organised getting the kids ready and meeting in town by 10.30am on a week day! The sun was out and the kids were all very excited to venture round the zoo together. I think the highlights of the day for both the kids and us, were; the penguins, the tigers, the gorilla's, the butterflies and of course the kids just loved the little wet play section with fountains next to the farm (again v.organised we had swimsuits and towels).

The zoo has so much variety it's definitely worth trying to arrive as early as possible so you have the chance to explore all the different spots and don't miss out seeing any of the animals. So here's our day in pictures. Have you been recently? What did you think?
