The Royal Horseguards Hotel London
London Fashion Week is now over and I had the pleasure of staying at The Royal Horseguards London for 3 nights. A stunning five-star luxury hotel overlooking the River Thames near Embankment which is recommended by Forbes Travel Guide and Condé Nast Johansens. Situated in perfect proximity to Parliament Square, Big Ben, The Thames and Embankment Station, this is truly a classic luxury British Heritage hotel.
This majestic five-star hotel presides over the River Thames with outstanding views and after a long day running around for London Fashion Week, coming back to my room and having a view of the river and OXO tower just made my stay. Apart from the stunning location what really made my stay was the outstanding customer service. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels over the years and alot of the time they can look stunning and have great facilities but just don't have the customer service to match. On checking in I was greeted by the happiest and most helpful Fransisco. I also had a typical Fashion Week dress drama and got stuck in my dress and the lovely Fatma came to my rescue.
I went for breakfast in bed one morning and the other morning I had the buffet breakfast where I lingered and wrote a few blogs as the atmosphere was so relaxed and again I have to credit the warm and hospitable staff. I did hope to go to try out the gym but unfortunately my bed was so comfy that I ended up working in my room when I should've been up early in the gym.
From glittering chandeliers to contemporary design, this central hotel opposite the London Eye reflects a proud heritage with original tiled floors and a secret past. Stay in the building that was once home and office to the first ‘Chief’ of Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), Sir Mansfield Cumming, and now commemorated with an English Heritage Blue Plaque was pretty cool.
A classic stay in our capital with perfect views. If you are looking for an idyllic Luxury London stay, look no further, than The Royal Horseguards London.
