What or who inspired you to go into fashion?

Since a very young age I have always been creative and after my first textile lesson I knew I wanted to be a fashion designer. Everything I did from the age of 11 was focussed on developing that passion. My studio walls display a collection of posters that I have collected over the years from every fashion exhibition I went to.

What's your biggest aspiration?

My biggest aspiration is to continue to grow a successful business. I would like the brand to be established as a leading luxury ready to wear label known internationally for beautifully fitting shirts and garments.

Describe your style, In terms of your collections is there a trademark style, method or key fabric you would like to be known for?

Using luxurious silk and delicate lace for elegant womenswear. The signature style is the feminine use of lace placement revealing sensual skin in considered designs. This is then teamed with carefully selected colours and bespoke prints to compliment all skin tones. The designs are timeless and classic with every attention to detail such as the custom made gold edged buttons.

What can we expect from your next collection?

The collection which primarily specialised in silk shirts has grown this season, now offering a comprehensive range of silk garments for the cosmopolitan woman. Intricate lace detailing incorporated into the shirts, dresses and skirts are a signature design for the brand, allowing the professional woman to have a garment transitioning her effortlessly from day to evening. This season, a selection of our signature designs are also presented in cotton poplin for everyday elegance.

Which city inspires you?

Bristol which is both my home town and now where the brand is based. Bristol is a beautiful cultural city full of history and art. I am based right in the city centre surrounded by fantastic historic architecture which I find is an inspiring way to work. My studio is next to a street called Christmas Steps which is now an arts quarter and dates back to 1669. It is a beautiful steep cobbled street with many listed buildings.

How do you like to relax?

I enjoy exploring new places to eat and drink with my partner and friends. We are total foodies and lucky enough to live in a fantastic city which always has an exciting event on or a new venue opening. There are lots of independent food festivals and markets which offer a wide range of international cuisines throughout the year.

Where's your favourite place to eat?

I am spoilt for choice being in the city centre of Bristol there are so many fabulous independent cafes and restaurants. One of my favourites is a restaurant called Mud Dock due to both its setting and menu. It has beautiful views over the Bristol harbourside located on the top floor of an old warehouse perfect for watching the sunset over a delicious plate of fresh fish.
